Being a parent is already a tough job because it is something that you cannot learn in school and even if you attended seminars, every child is different and so parenting styles should be tailor-made for each of them.
Nevertheless, this fact has been exacerbated because of our present circumstance—we are living in the digital age already. Therefore, aside from the usual peer pressure and adolescence, we now have to contend with something that parents of 20 years ago did not have to deal with—technology.
While computers and gadgets have helped us get our work done while the kids are getting entertained, there is always the tendency of misuse and overuse. These situations have let to health complications like obesity in children as well as early deaths because poor circulation and lack of exercise. On the spiritual and moral side, children have access to materials that they could yet hardly comprehend and they do not know how to apply them in life properly.
Technology can be good for all of us, including parents, but everything should be used in moderation.
