I was browsing through some TV channels earlier when I came across a lifestyle show with a feature on weddings. Naturally, the show caught my interest. However, I was intrigued by a particular wedding that was featured, one that had a “ceremony within a ceremony.”
In that feature, the couple had a sand ceremony. Later on, I learned that it is one of the more modern ways couples use to give their wedding a distinctive edge. Sometimes, this ceremony is used as a substitute for the more traditional candle-lighting ceremony. With the sand ceremony, the couple pours two different colors of sand into one vessel to symbolize how their lives are now intertwined.
If you’re planning to get married any time soon, you might want to have the same ceremony, too. Anyway, finding colored sand won’t be difficult as stores like Weddingstar carry a wide range of kits that contain items needed for such a ceremony.
